The active substances are: allantoin ( Allantoinum ), dexpanthenol ( Dexpanthenolum ).
1 g of cream contains 20 mg of allantoin and 50 mg of dexpanthenol (50% panthenol solution in propylene glycol).
Excipients: lanolin, liquid paraffin, cetostearyl alcohol, ethyl parahydroxybenzoate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, purified water, polyavax NF.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- A drug for topical application to the skin.
- Before applying the cream, the skin should be cleansed and dried.
Lubricate the affected area once or several times a day.
In the case of baby chafing, apply Alantan Plus after each diaper change.
Action
Alantan Plus contains 2 active substances that are responsible for exfoliating, protecting the skin and moisturizing. Alantan also supports wound healing by promoting the growth of new tissue. When used regularly, allantoin helps to prevent excessive keratosis of the skin. Dexpanthenol has the ability to bind water, which has a positive effect on the elasticity of the skin.
Indications
- care for dry and irritated skin,
- treatment of skin damage such as wounds, abrasions, small skin cracks, small cuts,
- sunburn, burns after radiotherapy and phototherapy,
- prevention of nappy rash in infants,
- hyperkeratosis of the skin of the feet and hands,
- supportive treatment in AD, allergic eczema, rhinitis, leg ulcers.
Contraindications
Do not use Alantan Plus:
- in case of hypersensitivity to active substances – allantoin, dexpanthenol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine,
- for eyes,
- if there is acute inflammation of the skin, also with exudate.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Not known:
- hypersensitivity reactions, skin irritation.
Warnings and Precautions
- The use of the drug should be discontinued if symptoms suggestive of hypersensitivity, such as itching, redness, occur.
- The drug contains lanolin and cetostearyl alcohol – may cause a local skin reaction (e.g. contact dermatitis),
- The drug contains propylene glycol which may cause skin irritation.
- The drug contains ethyl, methyl, propyl parahydroxybenzoate – may cause allergic reactions, also of the late type.
- Keep the drug out of the sight and reach of children.
- Store below 25 ° C in the original package.
- Do not refrigerate.
- Alantan Plus can be used within 6 months from the date of first use of the drug, without exceeding the expiry date stated on the package.
