- Maxiseptic is intended for application to the surface of the skin and must not be administered, for example with a syringe, into deep layers of tissue.
- Maxiseptic is intended for use on the skin or wounds.

Action
Ingredients of the drug Maxiseptic (phenoxyethanol, octenidine) are substances with antimicrobial activity. Their action is complementary, thanks to which the drug is effective against bacteria, fungi and protozoa.
Indications
Maxiseptic is intended for use in adults and children of all ages up to:
- multiple short-term antiseptic treatment of the mucous membranes and adjacent tissues prior to diagnostic procedures in the genitals and anus, including the vagina, vulva and glans penis, and prior to urinary bladder catheterization
- antiseptic treatment of small, superficial wounds and skin disinfection before non-surgical procedures
- time-limited supportive antiseptic treatment of mycosis.
Use of other medications
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the drugs you are taking or have recently taken, and about any drugs you plan to take, including those sold without a prescription.
Maxiseptic must not be mixed with other substances, in particular, it must not be used in combination with antiseptics based on PVP-iodine (povidone iodine) on adjacent areas of the skin, because an intense brown to purple discoloration may appear in the border area.
Avoid contact with anionic surfactants, e.g. detergents and cleaning agents. Due to the possible interaction with anionic compounds, the use of distilled water (or water for injections) as a solvent is recommended.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
