What Juvit Multi contains?
1 ml of Yuvit Multi drops contains the following active substances:
retinol palmitate (vitamin A) 5000 IU
cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) 1000 IU
all-rac-α-tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E) 4.0 mg
thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B1) 2.0 mg
riboflavin sodium phosphate (vitamin B2) 0.8 mg
pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) 4.0 mg
nicotinamide (vitamin PP) 30.0 mg
dexpanthenol 10.0 mg
ascorbic acid (vitamin C) 100.0 mg.
Other ingredients (excipients): sodium hydroxide, RRR-α-tocopherol, butylhydroxyanisole, citric acid monohydrate, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium saccharin, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, glycerin, orange flavor, purified water.
Dosage form: drops for oral administration, solution.
1 ml of Yuvit Multi is about 27 drops.
One package of the drug contains 10 ml of solution.
Yuvit Multi – dosage:
The drug should be taken orally.
If a specific dosage is not prescribed, usually appoint:
infants: 3-5 drops per day,
children 1 to 6 years: 6 to 7 drops per day,
children 7 to 14 years old: 8 to 9 drops daily.
Infants and young children can be given Yuvit Multi either in a spoonful of drink or with food.
Contraindications / When not to use Juvit Multi?
If you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
With an excess of vitamin A in the body (hypervitaminosis A).
If you have high levels of calcium in your blood (hypercalcemia).
Warnings and Precautions:
With nephrolithiasis (currently or in the past) and with sarcoidosis, the use of the drug is possible only in consultation with the doctor and in accordance with his recommendations.
Simultaneous use with other preparations containing vitamin A and / or D should take place only on the recommendation of a doctor and in accordance with the dosage established by him.
Do not exceed recommended doses.

Other medicines and Juvit Multi
Simultaneous intake of cholestyramine, vaseline oil, colestipol (drugs that reduce the absorption of fats and cholesterol) reduces the absorption of vitamins A, D and E.
The absorption of vitamin A is reduced when taking neomycin, and the absorption of vitamin D in patients taking anticonvulsants and barbiturates (used, for example, in epilepsy).
The simultaneous use of iron preparations weakens the effect of vitamin E, therefore, a break of several hours should be taken between taking Yuvit Multi and iron preparations.
Yuvit Multi during pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, suspect you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking Juvit Multi.
The drug can be used during pregnancy only on the recommendation and in accordance with the dosage prescribed by the doctor.
Driving vehicles and operating machinery
Juvit Multi does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms.
Yuvit Multi – side effects:
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
No side effects were observed at the recommended doses. Too high doses can cause overdose symptoms. These include mild gastrointestinal side effects (nausea, diarrhea). Symptoms of hypervitaminosis A and D and hypercalcemia (increased levels of calcium in the blood) may occur after prolonged use of too high doses.
Storage/shelf life:
Yuvit Multi should be stored in the refrigerator (2°C – 8°C).
Store in original packaging to protect from light.
Keep the drug out of the reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the package. The expiration date refers to the last day of that month.
