The drug reduces cough irritation, changes the composition of bronchial mucus and thereby facilitates its expectoration. The drug is intended for the treatment of dry, irritating, difficult-to-control coughs of various origins. The product can also be given to relieve cough before and after surgery, as directed by a physician. The product can be used by children from 6 months, teenagers and adults.
Dosage form
Clear, colorless to slightly yellowish, slightly flavored solution for oral administration.
Active ingredient and its quantity
Active ingredients: butamirate citrate 0.08 g; guaifenesin 2.0 g in 100 ml syrup.
How to use
Patient:
up to 12 kg, 1.25 ml 3-4 times a day
12-20 kg 2.5 ml 3 times a day
20-40 kg 2.5 ml 3-4 times a day
40-70 kg 5 ml 3 times a day
70-90 kg 5 ml 4 times a day older
90 kg 7.5 ml 3-4 times a day
The appropriate amount of syrup is measured using the supplied measuring cup or dosing pipette (see Plastic Dosing Pipette Instructions below) and taken with liquid (water, tea, fruit juice, etc.).
The interval between doses should be 4-6 hours.
If your symptoms do not improve or worsen within 3 days, you should contact your doctor. Do not use the product for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor. If you have the impression that the effect of Stoptussin Syrup is too strong or too weak, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
What to look out for
Taking this drug during pregnancy is possible only in the 2nd and 3rd trimester, as well as taking during breastfeeding, but the reception should always be agreed with the doctor.
Keep out of the reach of children. Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C in the original packaging, protected from light.

À quoi faire attention
La prise de ce médicament pendant la grossesse n’est possible qu’aux 2e et 3e trimestres, ainsi que pendant l’allaitement, mais la réception doit toujours être convenue avec le médecin.
Garder hors de la portée des enfants. A conserver à une température ne dépassant pas 25°C dans l’emballage d’origine, à l’abri de la lumière.
