Indications and action:
- Levodropropizine – the active substance of the drug is characterized by mainly peripheral (with an attachment point in the bronchi and trachea) antitussive effect as well as antiallergic and bronchospasm-relieving effects.
- This drug effectively suppresses cough of various origins, such as cough associated with lung cancer, cough associated with upper and lower respiratory tract infections, or whooping cough.
- If after 7 days there is no improvement or the patient feels worse, contact your doctor.
Dosage:
- Adults and children weighing more than 30 kg (average age: about 9 years): 1 tablet orally every 6 hours between meals (maximum 3 tablets per day).
- The tablets should not be crushed or chewed. To make swallowing easier, the tablets may be taken with water.
- If a child has difficulty swallowing a tablet, it is recommended to use a syrup with the same active substance and an equivalent strength.
- Treatment should be continued until the cough subsides or as directed by your doctor.
Contraindications:
Do not use Levosol if:
- if the patient is allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
in people with abundant bronchial secretion and impaired function of the bronchial epithelium cilia (Kartagener syndrome, ciliary dyskinesia) - in pregnant and breastfeeding women
- in children weighing less than 30 kg
