“Ingredients
Sodium hyaluronate; xanthan gum; netilmicin 0.3%; disodium phosphate dodecahydrate; sodium phosphate monobasic monohydrate; sodium citrate; purified water.

Directions
XanterNet Sterile, preservative-free, transparent ophthalmic gel containing sodium hyaluronate, xanthan gum and netilmicin 0.3%. Contains two natural polymers: hyaluronic acid and xanthan gum. When applied to the conjunctival fornix, Xanternet mixes with tears to form a viscous and transparent dressing that, by reducing friction caused by eye movements and blinking, protects the ocular surface and promotes healing after wounds or abrasions. Xanternet also contains netilmicin, a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic useful in reducing the risk of bacterial infections.
The product does not contain preservatives.

How to use
Xanternet is recommended to be administered into the conjunctival fornix one drop 4 times daily, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor.
Instructions for use:
1. Before use, make sure the single-use package is intact.
2. Separate the single-use dose from the strip.
3. Hold the single-use container by the base and shake it downwards.
4. Open by twisting the top and pulling it towards you.
5. Instill Xanternet, avoiding contact of the container tip with the eyes or any other surface.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides or other components of the product.

Precautions for use
Long-term use of topical antibiotics may lead to the growth of resistant microorganisms.
If after a reasonable period of time (5-7 days) the use of Xanternet viscous bandage does not lead to improvement of the clinical picture or irritation or hypersensitivity occurs, treatment should be discontinued and a specialist should be consulted.
In early childhood, the drug should be used in cases of real need and under the direct supervision of a doctor.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Preclinical studies confirm the absence of foetal toxicity with topical use of netilmicin due to poor systemic absorption of the product. However, during pregnancy, it should be used only in cases of real need and under the direct supervision of a doctor.
Aminoglycosides are excreted in breast milk, so their use during breastfeeding is not recommended.

Warnings
For topical ophthalmic use only.
Keep out of reach of children.
The product should be used as recommended by a doctor.
Occasionally a slight, short-term burning sensation may occur.
Do not touch the tip of the opened container or allow it to come into direct contact with the eyes.
Each single-use pack must be used immediately after opening; any leftovers should not be reused.
Do not use Xanternet after the expiry date.
Do not use Xanternet if the container is open or damaged.
Do not use Xanternet if it is opaque.
Xanternet should be given to children or people with disabilities by a responsible adult.

Storage
As Xanternet does not contain preservatives, each single-use pack should only be used immediately after opening.
Once the sachet has been opened, any remaining single-use containers must be used within 12 weeks.
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.”
