use of the drug is the presence of pinworms in the feces and / or around the anus. Pinworms are small white parasitic worms that live in the intestines. They look like white cotton threads and their females are about 10mm long. It is difficult to see individual pinworms, but when they multiply excessively, white mobile worms 1 cm long are clearly visible in the feces. The presence of pinworms can also be detected when examining the area around the anus of a sleeping child in the evening (preferably 2 hours after falling asleep, when the laying process is in progress).
It is very important to maintain good hygiene, especially personal hygiene, to prevent self-infection or transmission of the infection to others. The following rules should be observed for at least 6 weeks after the end of treatment.
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Dosage
The recommended dose for adults and children over 2 years of age weighing over 11 kg is 11 mg/kg. once.
This dose should be repeated two or three weeks after the first dose.
Do not exceed the recommended dose of the drug.
Mode of application
The drug is taken orally, regardless of the meal.
Shake well before use to obtain a uniform suspension.
Do not use laxatives before administering Pyrantel OWIX.
If you take more Pyrantel OWIX than prescribed
If you have taken more than the recommended dose of the drug, contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Keep the drug out of the reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the EXP pack.
The expiration date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not store above 25ºC.
Store in original packaging to protect from light.
After opening, the drug can be stored for 21 days.
Medicines must not be disposed of through sewage or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away unwanted medicines. This behavior will help protect the environment.
Pyrantelum OWIX (oral suspension): Pyrantelum OWIX Composition and formulation: 5 ml oral suspension contains 250 mg of pyrantel in the form of pyrantel pamoate (721 mg).
