Prenatal Duo is a unique preparation recommended for women from the 13th week of pregnancy to the end of breastfeeding.
It consists of two preparations – Prenatal Classic and Prenatal DHA 600. It contains choline and a complex of essential ingredients, selected in terms of beneficial effects on the mother and child in appropriately high doses recommended by PTG.

Prenatal Duo contains the Epigenetic Nutrition Plan – a unique combination of highly digestible nutrients in the recommended doses, which determine, among others, at the stage of fetal development. its susceptibility to civilization diseases, higher IQ, better quality of life in the future.

Prenatal Duo is indicated for dietary management in order to:

ensure the proper development of the child’s brain and retina
supporting the proper development of the fetus
reduce the risk of developing an allergy in a child
prophylaxis of anemia and premature delivery

Prenatal DUO contains choline, DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and a complex of essential ingredients selected in terms of beneficial effects on the mother and child, in appropriately high doses recommended by PTG 1-3 .

Proper development of the child’s brain and retina

DHA affects the development of a child’s brain and retina. The most active phase of accumulation of this fatty acid in the brain begins at the turn of the second and third trimester of pregnancy and lasts until the age of 2. child 4 . Therefore, it is important to ensure its proper consumption by the mother until the end of breastfeeding.

Proper development of the fetus

A unique feature of Prenatal DUO is its choline content . It takes part in the conduction of nerve impulses, thus supporting the development and functioning of the fetal nervous system. 5 Choline transports DHA to the placenta and improves its blood supply. This translates into more efficient transport of nutrients and oxygen to the fetus. 5

Iodine is responsible for the proper functioning of the child’s nervous system and, together with iron, supports its mental development 6-9 .

Folactiv is a dual source of folate supporting cell division, essential for fetal growth. The addition of Folactiv is especially beneficial for people with slower metabolism of folic acid. This applies to every second woman in Poland. 10Methylcobalamin is a ready form of vitamin B 12 , which conditions the use of folic acid and supports the synthesis of fetal DNA.

Choline along with Folactiv and vitamins B 12 and B 6 help maintain proper metabolism of homocysteine. Lowering the concentration of this compound in the mother’s blood has a beneficial effect on the course of pregnancy and the health of the baby. 11

Vitamin D supports the development of the bones and teeth of a child 12 and has a positive effect on immunity. It is also important in the processes of cell division responsible for the correct birth weight of a child and the development of vital organs12.

Reducing the risk of developing an allergy in a child

DHA deficiency in the mother’s diet may disturb the balance in the immune system, which contributes to the development of allergies in children (eg allergy to egg white, eczema) 13,14 .

Prevention of anemia and premature delivery

The combination of iron with Folactiv and vitamins B 6 , B 12 actively supports the processes of blood formation. The optimal dose of iron reduces the risk of anemia and developmental disorders in a child. Recommendations regarding the influence of DHA on reduction of preterm labor recommend using a dose of DHA not lower than 600 mg / day due to the low consumption of this fatty acid in the Polish population 3 . Women at high risk of preterm labor should take 1000 mg. 3
