“Pirantel Medana is intended for children from 2 years of age and adults. The medicine does not irritate the intestines and does not cause the movement of worms.

Compound
The active substance is pyrantel.
5 ml of oral suspension contains 250 mg of pyrantel (as pyrantel embonate).
Excipients: sodium benzoate (E 211), sodium carmellose, sorbitol 70% (E 420), glycerin, aluminum-magnesium silicate, polysorbate 80, povidone, apricot flavor, simethicone emulsion, citric acid monohydrate, sodium hydroxide, purified water.

Shake the contents of the bottle before use.

Dosage
The drug is taken orally, regardless of food intake. Before using Pyrantelum OVIX suspension, shake the contents of the bottle until a homogeneous liquid is obtained. Doses of the drug should be measured using the measuring cup included in the package. The recommended dosage of Pyrantel OVIX for adults and children over 2 years of age weighing 11 kg or more is: 11 mg/kg body weight once. This dose should be repeated two or three weeks after the first dose. Do not exceed the recommended dose of the drug.

Action
Pyrantel OVIX has an antiparasitic effect by acting on the muscles of intestinal parasites. The drug immobilizes parasites and removes them from the intestines thanks to peristaltic movements. Pyrantel OVIX does not irritate the intestines and does not cause the movement of worms. It affects sexually mature forms and parasites in the early stages of development, but does not affect larvae during their migration in tissues.

Indications
Indications for the use of Pirantella OVIX are pinworms, after detecting their presence in the feces and/or anal area.
Symptoms of enterohepsis are observed mainly in children. However, the disease occurs at any age, although its main carriers are often children (parasites can be contracted, for example, in nurseries, kindergartens, sandboxes), and other people living together can easily become infected. Pinworms are characterized by severe itching around the anus (not all infected people experience this), usually at night, which often causes inflammation. Children infected with pinworms may experience irritability, nervousness, insomnia, bedwetting or abdominal pain, and loss of appetite. Girls sometimes experience vulvovaginal inflammation, which is manifested by itching, burning and white discharge. In such cases, consult a doctor.

Contraindications
Do not use Pyrantel OVIX in people who are allergic to Pyrantel or any of the other ingredients of this medication. A contraindication to the use of Pirantel OVIX is the treatment of myasthenia gravis (a disease of the skeletal muscles).”
