- Indications
Short-term treatment of exacerbations of rheumatoid diseases, such as:
rheumatoid arthritis;
juvenile rheumatoid arthritis;
ankylosing spondylitis.
Dosage
Preparation for oral use.
Take with a meal.
Wash down the tablet with 100 ml (approx. half a glass) of non-carbonated water. Do not crush, divide, chew, or suck.
Adults and adolescents over 15 years of age:
1 tablet (7.5 mg) daily.
Patients with kidney failure and liver disease must not exceed the daily dose of 7.5 mg of meloxicam.
If after 7 days the symptoms do not subside or worsen, consult a doctor.
- Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to meloxicam or any of the other ingredients of the drug.
Hypersensitivity to other active substances from the NSAID group.
History of shortness of breath, bronchial asthma attack, swelling of the nasal mucosa, skin reaction or other type of allergic reaction after taking any NSAID drug.
Active or past gastric and/or duodenal ulcer, bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract, perforation of the stomach and/or intestines.
Severe liver and/or kidney dysfunction.
Bleeding from cerebral vessels.
Blood clotting disorders, hemorrhagic diathesis.
Lactose intolerance.
Concomitant diseases: hypertension, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, hypercholesterolemia, gastrointestinal diseases, etc.
Third trimester of pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Age under 15 years.
