Composition
Active ingredients: 4 mg tyrothricin, 2 mg cetrimonium bromide, 1 mg lidocaine.
Other ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, guar, magnesium stearate, sodium saccharin, sorbitol, talc, citric acid, peppermint flavor, lemon flavor, quinoline yellow (E 104), indigotine (E 132).
Scope
Lemocin contains the local antibiotic tyrothricin and the local antiseptic cetrimonium bromide, as well as the local anesthetic (local pain reliever) lidocaine.
Lemocin lozenges are used for the supportive treatment of mild to moderate inflammation of the throat and oral cavity (sore throat and inflammation of the oral mucosa).
Dosage
Suggested dose:
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over:
Depending on the severity of symptoms, take 1 lozenge every 1-3 hours.
Do not dissolve more than 8 lozenges per day.
Children under 12 years:
Lemocin lozenges are not suitable for children under 12 years of age, as their safety and effectiveness have not been studied in children under 12 years of age.
Directions for use:
For use in the mouth and throat.
When sucking on Lemocin, move it slowly around the mouth without chewing, do not allow it to dissolve in the cheek pouch, do not bite or swallow it.
Lemocin lozenges should not be used immediately before or after brushing your teeth, as their effectiveness is reduced by toothpaste.
Lemocin should not be used for more than 4-5 days without consulting a doctor.
Side effects
DO NOT use Lemocin and seek immediate medical attention if you or your child experience any of the following symptoms, which may be signs of an allergic reaction:
Difficulty breathing or swallowing
Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat
Severe itching of the skin with a red rash or raised bumps.
Other possible side effects
Side effects that are rare (occur in up to 1 in 1,000 people treated)
Changes in taste or numbness in the mouth
Side effects that are very rare (occur in up to 1 in 10,000 people treated),
especially at high doses: Diarrhea due to the sorbitol content. Nausea.
With frequent and regular use over a long period of time, local irritation of the mucous membranes, such as a scratchy or burning sensation in the mouth and throat, may occur. Applying Tyrothricin to fresh wounds may cause bleeding.
