Sodium hyaluronate eye drops 0.2% w/v 10 ml.
It contains a highly purified specific fraction of the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid obtained by bacterial fermentation and therefore does not contain animal proteins. Hyaluronic acid is a natural biocompatible polysaccharide with viscoelastic and hygroscopic properties. In the eye, hyaluronic acid is found in the vitreous body, lacrimal gland, corneal epithelium, conjunctiva and human lacrimal fluid. Hyaluronic acid has mucoadhesive properties and the ability to retain water; it is also known to affect the distribution of water in the corneal stroma. This, combined with the protective properties of hyaluronic acid, leads to an increase in precorneal resistance time and tear film breakup time and therefore provides longer lubrication of the corneal surface. Hyaluronic acid is currently used in contact lenses to improve the wettability and comfort of contact lenses. Xailin HA contains a vanishing preservative that turns into water and oxygen upon contact with the eye, minimizing the irritation that can be caused by traditional preservatives while providing the convenience of a multi-dose form. Provides an immediate feeling of relief. It is used to lubricate and protect the eye in certain conditions, providing relief from dry eye syndrome such as pain, irritation or foreign body sensation. Dry eye symptoms are caused by ocular surface diseases caused by various reasons in which the quality or quantity of tears is impaired and they cannot maintain an adequate level of moisture in the eye.
How to use:
The usual dosage is one drop 2-4 times a day as needed or as directed by an eye doctor. The dosage for children is the same. Before opening a new bottle of eye drops, check that the safety ring on the bottle cap is intact.
1. Turn the cap counterclockwise to break the seal.
2. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before use.
3. Remove the cap.
4. Tilt your head back and look up.
5. Gently pull your lower eyelid down to create a small pocket between the eyelid and the eye.
6. Hold the bottle between your thumb and middle finger and use your index finger to gently press the base of the bottle to release a drop of eye drops into the conjunctival fornix.
7. Blink a couple of times.
8. If the eye is missed, apply another drop.
9. Gently remove excess eye drops from the eyelids with gauze.
10. Replace the cap on the container, being careful not to touch the tip of the applicator.
11. At least 30 minutes should pass between taking other ophthalmic medications.
If the symptom persists, consult an ophthalmologist.
Precautions and warnings
Do not use if the safety ring on the bottle cap is damaged. Do not use if you are allergic to the product. Do not touch the tip of the bottle to your eyes or any other surface. Do not pass Xailin HA to other people. May cause slight blurred vision after application. Wait until vision clears before driving or operating machinery. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the package or printed on the bottle. Keep out of reach of children. For external ophthalmic use only, do not take orally. Consult a doctor, pharmacist before using the product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Storage
Store at a temperature of 1°C to 25°C. Discard contents within 28 days of first opening.”
