Femistelin is a medicine for various aspects of menopause, such as:

deterioration of mood,

Composition
One tablet of Femistelin contains 10 mg of dehydroepiandrosterone. Excipient with known effect: lactose monohydrate 90 mg. The tablets have a dividing line on one side of the tablet, allowing the tablet to be divided into equal doses of 5 mg.

Indications
Supplementation of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) deficiency in women with laboratory-confirmed DHEA deficiency.

Starting to take Femistelin should be discussed with your doctor, who will order the necessary tests and based on them will decide on the need to use this medicine. Femistelin should be taken once a day, in the morning, in accordance with the natural rhythm of DHEA secretion. The medicine should be taken with a meal to facilitate its absorption. In people using Femistelin, it is necessary to monitor the therapy by a doctor, during which many clinical and biochemical parameters will be checked in the patient.

The recommended initial daily dose of Femistelin for women is 5 mg. The drug should be taken in the morning, in accordance with the natural rhythm of DHEA hormone secretion. The initial dose of the drug should be gradually increased (by 5 to 10 mg every 2 weeks) until the desired therapeutic effects are achieved. It is recommended to use the lowest effective dose. Changing the dose, and in particular increasing the dose, always requires consultation with a doctor. The maximum daily dose of DHEA recommended for women is 25 mg. The doctor will adjust the dose depending on the concentration of DHEA in the serum and the effectiveness of the treatment. If it is necessary to use doses higher than 25 mg in women (only with a doctor’s prescription), the doctor’s ordered test for determining the concentration of the hormone in the serum and other tests ordered by the doctor should be performed as often as necessary. The effect of the drug is not immediate and occurs after several weeks of taking it, therefore Femistelin is intended for long-term use.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to dehydroepiandrosterone or any of the excipients of the product. Breast, ovarian or other estrogen-dependent tumors, severe hepatic impairment, severe renal impairment, pregnancy and breastfeeding, individuals with normal DHEA levels.
