Composition:

The active substance of the drug is dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA, Dehydroepiandrosteronum).

1 tablet contains 10 mg of DHEA.

Excipients: colloidal anhydrous silica, microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate.

Indications and action:

• Biosteron is a medicinal product that supplements dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) deficiency.
• DHEA is a prohormone whose levels decline with age.
• Using the drug can improve the quality of life of older people.
• DHEA deficiency may cause adverse phenomena associated with the aging process.
• Supplementing DHEA deficiency may improve the health and quality of life of aging individuals.

Dosage:

• Biosteron should be taken once a day, in the morning, according to the natural rhythm of DHEA secretion.
• The medicine should be taken with a meal to facilitate its absorption.
• If it is necessary to use doses higher than 25 mg per day in women and 50 mg per day in men (only with a doctor’s prescription), the DHEA concentration in plasma should be regularly determined and medical examinations should be performed appropriately frequently.
• Older people: older people usually require higher doses of the drug due to reduced DHEA production. However, before using doses higher than recommended, you should talk to your doctor.
• Recommended initial, single daily dose of DHEA:

• For women it is 5 mg,
• For men : 10 mg.

• The initial dose of the drug should be increased gradually (by 5 to 10 mg every 2 weeks).
• The maximum daily dose of DHEA recommended for women is 25 mg and for men 50 mg.

Contraindications:

• • If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of Biosteron.
  • If you have breast, ovarian or other estrogen-dependent cancer.
  • If you have benign prostatic hyperplasia and cancer of the prostate gland, breast cancer in men.
  • If you suffer from severe liver failure.
  • If you suffer from severe renal failure.
  • During pregnancy and breastfeeding.
