Scope
Ointment – a medicinal product for the skin with the active substance ammonium bitumen sulfonate from the group of sulfonated shale oils. The drug has an anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect.
It is used during the maturation of boils and superficial abscessing processes, for example: inflammation of the nail bed, hair follicles, sweat glands, inflammation caused by splinters and thorns.
Dosage
Always take the medicine exactly as prescribed.
Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the medicine should be applied in a thick layer to the treated areas of the skin and a bandage should be applied. The bandage is changed daily.
The use of the product as a permanent dressing should not exceed 3 days.
Otherwise, the duration of use depends on the success of the treatment.
The frequency of use of the product depends on the type and severity of the disease, as well as the skin reaction.
If you have used more than you should
If severe skin irritation occurs, stop using the product. Symptomatic treatment should be carried out if necessary.
If you forget to apply
Do not use a double dose if you have forgotten to make the previous application.
Contraindications
The medicine should not be used if you are allergic to ammonium bitumen sulfonate and / or sodium bitumen sulfonate or any other ingredient of this medicine, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
