1 g ointment contains:
active ingredients: urea 100 mg and salicylic acid 50 mg.
excipients: polysorbate 40, sorbitan trioleate, Simulsol 165, glycerin, white petrolatum.
Dosage
For use on skin.
Rub the ointment into the affected areas of the skin 1-2 times a day. Use for a few to a dozen days, and take breaks for longer periods of use. The medicine is washed off with warm water, so after washing off the ointment should be reapplied.
Action
Haceral ointment contains 10% urea and 5% salicylic acid.
10% urea causes a keratolytic effect, which leads to exfoliation of the stratum corneum. It also softens excessively keratinized layers of the epidermis and renews the protective layer of the skin, which significantly reduces reverse water loss through the skin.
Salicylic acid at a concentration of 5% causes exfoliation of epidermal cells. Its effect is two-way. It involves reducing cell adhesion by dissolving the intercellular substance and lowering the pH in the stratum corneum, which promotes hydration and softening of the epidermis. The result is a loss of adhesion between cells, their separation and exfoliation.
Salicylic acid and urea also have antibacterial and antifungal properties by altering the pH at the surface of the skin.
Indications
Indications for the use of Hasceral are diseases accompanied by a violation of keratinization of the epidermis, such as ichthyosis, psoriasis, pityriasis pilaris, hyperkeratosis of the hands and feet, keratosis pilaris, as well as allergic and non-allergic eczema of the hands, neurodermatitis, atopic dermatitis and conditions of excessive dry skin of various etiologies.
