Method of using a medical device
Always use the lancets only with Glucosesense/iXell lancets in accordance with the instructions supplied with the meter.

Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before starting the test.
Approximately 20 seconds before the puncture, massage the area from which you want to take blood.
The puncture site can be wiped with 70% alcohol. Before stinging, the alcohol must completely evaporate.
Turn and remove the piercing cap.
Insert the lancet into the guide and push firmly until the lancet locks into place.
Unscrew the washer that secures the blade.
To close the lock, put on the cap and turn it until it clicks. When the lock is properly closed, the indicator is on the far right.
Select the penetration depth of the skin by turning the adjustable tip so that the arrow on it points to the selected penetration depth (6 levels of penetration depth can be set).
Pull the movable shaft until it clicks into place. An orange line will appear in the window indicating that the lancing device is ready for use. Be sure to keep your fingers on the lancing device and not on the cap.
Press the tip of the lancing device firmly against your fingertip. Press the unlock button. An audible click indicates that the piercing is complete.
Gently massage the puncture site to get enough blood. Remember that you can never force a drop of blood.

Possible side effects of the medical device
Repeated punctures in the same place can cause skin thickening and pain. To avoid this, each time you should choose a different puncture site.
