Composition
Active ingredient: dexibuprofen 200 mg.
Other ingredients:
Tablet core: hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, calcium carmellose, colloidal silicon dioxide, talc.
Film coating: hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E-171), glycerol triacetate, talc, macrogol 6000.
Scope
Eu-Med is used to treat painful conditions such as musculoskeletal pain, toothache or acute menstrual pain, as well as pain and fever associated with colds and flu-like infections.
Dosage
One film-coated tablet up to 3 times a day. The maximum daily dose of 3 Eu-Med painkiller tablets of 200 mg should not generally be exceeded. There should be an interval of 4 to 6 hours between doses.
Take Eu-Med painkiller tablets with liquid. The tablets can be taken regardless of food intake.
Give Eu-Med to a child only as directed by a doctor.
This dosage form is not suitable for children under 8 years of age.
Children aged 8 to 12 years: 1/2 Eu-Med 200 mg painkiller tablet up to 3 times a day.
Adolescents aged 12 to 18 years: 1 Eu-Med 200 mg painkiller tablet up to 3 times a day.
Elderly patients (65 years and older)
If you are over 65 years of age, no special dose adjustment is required.
Contraindications
Eu-Med should not be taken if you are allergic to dexibuprofen or any other ingredient in this medicine,
if you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid or other painkillers. Difficulty breathing, asthma, runny nose, skin rash and facial swelling may occur.
If you have had gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation caused by NSAID therapy.
If you have or have had a stomach or duodenal ulcer repeatedly (if you vomit blood, have black stools or have bloody diarrhea, this may be a sign of stomach or intestinal bleeding).
In case of bleeding in the brain (cerebrovascular haemorrhage) or other active bleeding.
If you suffer from an acute attack of inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease).
If you suffer from severe heart failure or severe liver or kidney disease, from the beginning of the sixth month of pregnancy.
Side effects
Stomach/intestines (up to bleeding and perforation), skin/hypersensitivity (also severe), central nervous system, blood, edema, high blood pressure, heart failure, kidneys, liver.
