Action
The syrup contains magnesium alginate, which, upon contact with chyme, has a gel-forming effect, thereby acting as an anti-reflux. At the same time, simethicone is a surfactant that breaks up gas bubbles that have accumulated in the small intestine, thereby eliminating flatulence and intestinal colic. The use of Gastrotuss® children’s syrup supports the natural processes of regeneration of the mucous membrane of the gastroesophageal tract and larynx, while accelerating the process of emptying the stomach from food. The drug is suitable for use in infants from birth and children up to 12 years. The package includes a measuring cup that allows you to accurately dose the syrup, depending on the age of the child.
Dosage
Infants weighing up to 5 kg: unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, 2.5-3 ml 5-10 minutes after feeding. In case of regurgitation of gastric contents after the use of the drug, it is recommended to additionally introduce 1 ml of syrup.
Infants and children under 3 years of age: Unless otherwise directed by a physician, 5 ml after main meals and at bedtime.
Children under 12: unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, 10-20 ml after main meals and at bedtime.
Shake vigorously before use. Close the bottle tightly after use. If the patient is taking other drugs, Gastrotuss baby should be used last. The syrup is recommended to be used at least 1 hour before or after taking other medicines.
