Action
The syrup contains magnesium alginate, which has a gel-forming effect on contact with the digestive contents, thus acting against reflux. At the same time, simethicone is a surfactant that breaks down gas bubbles that have accumulated in the small intestine, thereby eliminating gas and intestinal colic. The use of Gastrotuss® children’s syrup supports the natural processes of regeneration of the mucous membrane of the gastroesophageal tract and larynx, while accelerating the process of gastric emptying. The drug is suitable for use in infants from birth and children up to 12 years. The package includes a measuring cup that allows you to accurately dose the syrup, depending on the age of the child.
Dosage
Infants weighing up to 5 kg: 2.5-3 ml 5-10 minutes after feeding, unless otherwise directed by a physician. In case of regurgitation of gastric contents after the use of the drug, it is recommended to additionally introduce 1 ml of syrup.
Infants and children up to 3 years: 5 ml after main meals and at bedtime, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor.
Children under 12: unless otherwise directed by a doctor, 10-20 ml after main meals and at bedtime.
Shake vigorously before use. Close the bottle carefully after use. If the patient is taking other drugs, Gastrotuss baby should be used last. The syrup is recommended to be used at least 1 hour before or after taking other medicines.
