Composition
Active ingredient: 41.2 mg simethicone.
Other ingredients: sorbic acid 1.20 mg/ml, potassium sorbate 0.402 mg/ml, sodium cyclamate 1.35 mg/ml, sodium saccharin 0.15 mg/ml, macrogol 6000, magnesium aluminum silicate type IIA, hydroxyethylcellulose, polyoxyethylene 25-glycerol trioleate, banana flavor, citric acid monohydrate, purified water.
Scope
Antiflat drops are used to treat excess accumulation and gas formation in the gastrointestinal tract, which is accompanied by a feeling of fullness, bloating and tension in the upper abdomen. Chewable tablets are suitable for the treatment of increased gas formation after surgery and Remheld syndrome. Antiflat drops are used in preparation for diagnostic examinations in the abdominal cavity to reduce gas shadows during X-ray or ultrasound examinations. The drops are also used in cases of poisoning with dishwashing liquid.
Dosage
The drops can be taken during or after meals, and, if necessary, before bedtime. Antiflat drops can be easily mixed with cold or warm drinks such as tea, water, milk, and added to a bottle and baby food. To treat flatulence and a feeling of fullness in the abdomen: − For infants and children on artificial feeding, add 1 ml (equivalent to 16 drops) of Antiflat drops to each bottle or meal. − Toddlers should take 1 ml (equivalent to 16 drops) of Antiflat drops with a small amount of water. − Adults should take 1–2 ml (equivalent to 16–32 drops) of Antiflat drops during or after meals. To prepare for abdominal diagnostic examinations: the day before the examination, adults should take 2–3 ml (equivalent to 32–48 drops) of Antiflat drops during or after each meal. On the morning of the examination, an additional 2–3 ml (equivalent to 32–48 drops) of Antiflat drops are instilled. Dishwashing liquid poisoning: The dosage for dishwashing liquid poisoning depends on the severity of the poisoning. The minimum recommended dose is 5 ml (equivalent to 80 drops) of Antiflat drops. The duration of use depends on the course of the disease. If necessary, use can be continued for a longer period of time.
Contraindications
Do not take Antiflat if you are allergic to simethicone or any other ingredient of this drug.
