immunoBON® is a food for special medical purposes (balanced diet) for the dietary management of allergic rhinitis, such as hay fever.

How does immunoBON® work?

The whey protein in immunoBON® contains lipocalins. These are structured like a pocket filled with iron, among other nutrients. This transports iron directly to the immune cell, where the iron deficiency is compensated.

Area of application

Due to its composition and properties, immunoBON® is able to cover the specific nutritional needs of patients with allergic rhinitis (e.g. hay fever, but also in cases of pet hair or mite allergy).

Application

Adults take two lozenges daily, children one lozenge. A three-month course of use is recommended for sustained results, with annual repetitions. You can start taking the lozenge at any time, ideally one month before pollen season.
Note for pregnancy and breastfeeding: A total daily intake of 1500 μg of retinol (equivalent to 5000 IU of retinol) from all sources should generally not be exceeded (source: Federal Ministry). Due to production reasons, a daily dose of immunoBON® contains up to 735 μg of vitamin A. This must be strictly observed when taking immunoBON® during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Warnings: Should only be used under medical supervision. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Should not be taken if you have a diagnosed cow’s milk allergy. Excessive consumption may produce a laxative effect. Store away from moisture and not above 25°C. Keep out of reach of small children. Lozenges are for immediate consumption after removal.

immunoBON® contains per daily dose (adult): 25 kJ/6 kcal energy, 0.005 g fat, of which 0.003 g saturated fatty acids, 1.815 g carbohydrates, of which 0.019 g sugars, 0.050 g fiber, 0.385 g protein*, 0.001 g salt, of which 0.16 mg sodium, 7.0 mg zinc, 400 μg vitamin A, 0.7 mg iron. *Whey protein isolate from cow’s milk.
