Indications: Drosetux is a drug used as an auxiliary in the treatment of dry and irritating cough.
Action: antitussive.
Dosage: use orally. Children up to 6 years of age: as directed by a doctor. If the doctor does not recommend otherwise, administer 2.5 ml of syrup 3 – 5 times a day. Adolescents and children from 6 years of age: 5 ml of syrup 3 – 5 times a day. Adults: 15 ml of syrup 3 – 5 times a day. When using the drug, it is recommended to use the dosing scoop located on the bottle cap.
Composition: 150 ml of syrup contains: active substances: Drosera 3CH 15 ml, Arnica montana 3CH 15 ml, Belladonna 3CH 15 ml, Cina 3CH 15 ml, Coccus cacti 3CH 15 ml, Corallium rubrum 3CH 15 ml, Cuprum gluconicum 3CH 15 ml, Ferrum phosphoricum 3CH 15ml, Ipeca 3CH 15ml, Solidago virga aurea 1CH 15ml. Other ingredients: sucrose, sodium benzoate.
Contraindications: allergy to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this drug.
Warnings and precautions: in case of persistent cough, expectoration of purulent sputum, fever or shortness of breath, contact your doctor. Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before using Drosetux in children up to 6 years of age. The medicine contains 12.64 g of sucrose in 15 ml (single dose for adults). Due to the content of sucrose, use with caution in patients with diabetes. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine. The drug contains 0.006 g of sodium benzoate in 2.5 ml. Sodium benzoate may increase the risk of jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes) in newborns (up to 4 weeks of age). This medicinal product contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per 2.5 ml, 5 ml and 15 ml, that is to say essentially ‘sodium-free’.
Interactions with other medicines: Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Driving and using machines: the drug has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
