“Composition
100 ml of mouthwash contain as an active substance: ketoprofen lysine salt 1.6 grams.
Excipients
Glycerin, ethyl alcohol, methyl ester of p-hydroxybenzoic acid, mint flavoring, menthol, sodium saccharin, greenish-yellow dye, monosodium phosphate, purified water.
Therapeutic indications
Symptomatic treatment of irritant-inflammatory diseases, also accompanied by pain in the oropharyngeal cavity (for example, gingivitis, stomatitis, pharyngitis), including as a result of conservative or extraction dental therapy.
Contraindications to the use of Oki mouthwash
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. Individual hypersensitivity in persons who have had allergic reactions to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as asthma, urticaria or rhinitis.
Dosage
The kit includes a measuring cup with a mark corresponding to 10 ml. To open the package, press firmly on the lid and simultaneously turn it counterclockwise. Twice a day, gargle with 10 ml of OKi mouthwash for inflammation and pain 1.6%, diluted in about 100 ml of water. Inadvertent swallowing of the solution used for gargling does not cause any particular harm to the patient, since it is equivalent to the dose expected for systemic administration (160 mg of ketoprofen lysine salt).
Warnings and precautions
Use, especially long-term, of topical preparations may cause sensitization phenomena, in which case it is necessary to suspend treatment and take appropriate therapeutic measures. During long-term and high-dose therapy, the possibility of competition between absorbed ketoprofen and other drugs with a high degree of plasma protein binding should be taken into account. The drug contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate, which is known to cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed type).
Interactions
To date, no negative interactions with other drugs have been identified.
Side effects
No local or systemic side effects have been reported when using a solution containing ketoprofen lysine salt. If any side effects occur, consult a doctor.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Like other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, OKi Flash and Pain 1.6% mouthwash should not be used in case of confirmed or suspected pregnancy, as well as during breastfeeding.”
