20 mg miconazole nitrate
Excipients
Thick paraffin, Polyoxyethylene (1500) monostearate, 2 mg benzoic acid, PEG glycerol oleate, Purified water.
Scope
Miconazole is used for fungal infections of the skin, skin folds, between the fingers and toes, as well as for superficial infections caused by yeast fungi. The cream is used in infants, children and adults.
Dosage
Before each use, thoroughly wash the affected areas of the skin and dry them thoroughly. Apply a small amount of cream to the affected areas of the skin and adjacent areas of the skin (approximately 1-2 cm) twice a day (preferably in the morning and evening).
When using powder and cream, it is recommended to use both dosage forms once a day.
Duration of use
The total treatment time is on average from 2 to 6 weeks.
Signs of fungal infection usually improve significantly within the first 7 days of starting miconazole treatment.
To avoid relapse, treatment should be continued until the fungal culture is negative, but at least one week after all symptoms have disappeared.
There should be a 3-4 day interval between the last application and the fungal culture to allow any… Residual active ingredients do not affect the culture.
Do not take miconazole for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor.
After applying the cream, hands should be washed thoroughly (except for hand washing).
Contraindications
Do not use the medicine if you are allergic to miconazole nitrate, related antifungals, benzoic acid or any other ingredient of this medicine.
Side effects
Hypersensitivity reactions with itching, swelling and redness of the skin; also severe cases with shortness of breath and a drop in blood pressure.
Urticaria, contact dermatitis, rash, burning sensation, dermatitis.
Skin irritation, warmth sensation.
Locally limited decrease in normal skin color.
