Cheplapharm Baldrian Dispert Nacht überzogene 25 – For use in nervous sleep disorders. Active ingredients 68 mg dry extract of hop cones (4-8:1); Extractant: ethanol 40% (vol/vol), 200 mg dry extract of valerian root (4-7:1); Extraction agent: ethanol 70% (v/v), Excipients – montan glycol wax, silicon dioxide, highly dispersed, cellulose powder, microcrystalline cellulose, butyl methacrylate copolymer, base, carboxymethyl starch, sodium, Magnesium stearate (vegetable), stearic acid (vegetable), starch acetate, sucrose, tragacanth, dextrin, Lactose-1-water, titanium dioxide, gum arabic, calcium carbonate, talc. The drug is a herbal medicine for sedation. The drug should not be taken if you are allergic to dry extract of valerian root or dry extract of hop cones or any other ingredient of this drug. The recommended dose is for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: For the treatment of sleep disorders caused by nervousness, take one film-coated tablet 1/2 to 1 hour before bedtime. If necessary, you can also take an additional film-coated tablet earlier in the evening. A single dose corresponds to 50-75% of 2-3 g of valerian root and 50-75% of 0.5 g of hop cones. If you accidentally take two or three times the recommended dose (equivalent to 2 or 3 film-coated tablets of this drug), this will usually not cause any side effects. In this case, continue taking the medicine as described or prescribed by your doctor. Taking more than 20 g of valerian root (equivalent to about 18 film-coated tablets) caused the following symptoms: fatigue, abdominal cramps, chest tightness, light-headedness, hand tremors and dilated pupils, which disappeared after 24 hours. If symptoms occur, appropriate treatment should be prescribed. If you forget to take: Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose. You can interrupt or stop taking the medicine at any time. Side effects – Gastrointestinal intolerance (e.g. nausea, abdominal cramps), skin diseases, allergic or hypersensitivity skin reactions (e.g. itching, rash, urticaria). The medicine may affect your ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery. It is not recommended to take the medicine less than 2 hours before active participation in road traffic, operating machinery or working without a secure support, as the ability to react may be impaired even when used as directed. This is even more relevant when combined with alcohol. The drug is not recommended for pregnant and lactating women.
