“Operation and properties Latopic contains 3 Polish, live and patented strains of lactic acid bacteria of the genus Lactobacillus. Lactic acid bacteria used in the diet can help improve the tightness of the intestinal barrier, maintain microbiological and immunological balance in the body and stimulate mucus secretion. Lactic acid bacteria may have a beneficial effect on atopic dermatitis, reducing the severity of skin lesions. Strains included in the Latopic show: resistance to low stomach pH and bile salts, adherence to intestinal epithelial cells, production of substances with activity against: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella Enteritidis, Salmonella Typhimurium, Listeria innocua, Listeria monocytogenes and Enterococcus faecalis, resistance to antibiotics is characteristic of bacteria from the Lactobacillus casei/rhamnosus group. Uses/Indications Latopic, a probiotic, is used for the dietary treatment of food allergies and atopic dermatitis.
