Composition
Active ingredients: refined peanut oil and liquid paraffin.
100 g contain: 46.45 g refined peanut oil and 47.00 g liquid paraffin.
Other ingredients:
butylhydroxytoluene (E 321), palmitoyl ascorbic acid, macrogol lauryl ether 400, isopropyl palmitate, trimethylolpropane trioleate PEG / PPG-120/10 and laureth-2, citric acid monohydrate, propylene glycol, fragrance (contains D-limonene, linalool).
Scope
Moisturizing medicinal oil bath for symptomatic treatment of skin diseases (dermatoses) with very dry and slightly itchy skin.
The drug is used in adults, adolescents and children aged 2 years and older.
Contraindications
Balneum Hermal F – Bath additive should not be used
if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to refined peanut oil, peanuts or soy or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine, in fresh purulent forms of psoriasis (pustular psoriasis, psoriasis with pustules, sometimes with fever and general malaise).
Addition
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Recommended dose for
Adults and adolescents from 12 years:
For a full bath (approximately 150 l), use two measuring cups (30 ml)
For a partial bath (5 l), use about 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml)
Children from 2 to 11 years:
For a baby bath (approximately 25 l), use 1/3 measuring cup (5 ml).
The inside of the screw cap can be used as a measuring cup to measure the required amount.
Directions for use:
For application to the skin.
Add Balneum Hermal F bath additive to the bath water and stir thoroughly until evenly distributed.
The bath water temperature should not significantly exceed 36 °C, as at higher temperatures the moisturizing effect gradually decreases.
For the treatment of itching, the temperature should be 32 °C or as low as is comfortable.
The duration of the bath is determined individually, but should not exceed 15-20 minutes.
For children, an application lasting only a few minutes is usually sufficient.
The frequency of use depends on the type and severity of the symptoms. Baths are usually recommended every two to three days. Daily bathing is also possible.
Balneum Hermal F bath additive can also be used for showering. Apply the product undiluted to damp skin and then rinse off.
After bathing or showering, simply pat the skin dry with a towel. Strong drying and friction reduce the therapeutic effect.
Side effects
severe allergic reactions, redness, itching and burning. Inflammation of the hair follicles (folliculitis).
