Application:
The preparation helps to supplement the diet with nutrients necessary during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Provides a set of ingredients recommended for use in pregnancy *: DHA, folic acid, iron, iodine, magnesium and zinc.
Action:
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the need for certain vitamins, minerals and DHA fatty acid increases significantly (even by 50% -100%). This is due to the fact that the female body must additionally nourish the developing baby. Unfortunately, the consumption of some of these ingredients by pregnant women is too low: for example, the average consumption of sea fish in Poland covers only half of the recommended consumption.
The composition of the preparation has been carefully selected to meet the needs of women planning pregnancy, pregnant and lactating women, taking into account the current state of knowledge on this subject:
Supports the development of the eye retina and the brain of the fetus and infants (DHA).
It is essential for the proper development of the placenta and the fetus (folic acid).
Supports the production of hemoglobin (iron) and the proper structure of bones and teeth (calcium, vitamin D, magnesium).
It strengthens the nervous system of women (iodine, vitamins B1, B6) and prevents fatigue (iron, magnesium, vitamins C, B5, B12, biotin, niacin, folic acid).
It improves the appearance of the skin (iodine, zinc, vitamins A, C, B2, biotin, niacin) and ensures well-being.
A diet rich in DHA fatty acid plays a special role during pregnancy and breastfeeding. High-quality fish oil and a controlled capsule manufacturing process (GMP) ensure high product quality. This is important due to the pollution of the environment and the fish themselves with heavy metals and dioxins.
DHA in the fetus and in breastfed infants comes directly from the maternal reserves during the preconception period and during pregnancy. The source of DHA fatty acids is marine fish fat, and only to a negligible extent they are supplied by flaxseed, walnuts or rapeseed oil.
Due to the occurrence of iodine deficiency in the diet, the Polish Commission for the Control of Iodine Deficiency Disorders recommends supplementing (supplementing) the diet of pregnant and lactating women with 100-150 µg of iodine daily. This is important for the development of the fetus and children, and for the health of the mother (including the mother’s ability to concentrate and remember).
Folic acid ensures the proper development of the fetus, including the neural tube (brain and spinal cord). Iron allows the production of an adequate amount of red blood cells to supply the placenta and the fetus with oxygen. Beta-carotene is a safer form of vitamin A, which is responsible for the process of cell differentiation, which enables the proper formation of tissues and organs.
