Dynexan 1.8% Oral Gel is an over-the-counter medication containing the active ingredient lidocaine hydrochloride. This pain-relieving gel is used for the short-term, symptomatic treatment (relief) of pain in the oral mucosa, gums, and lips.
The active ingredient lidocaine hydrochloride has a rapid pain-relieving effect.

Application
- Adults: Apply a pea-sized piece of Dynexan 1.8% Oral Gel (this corresponds to approximately 0.2 g of gel or 3.6 mg lidocaine) to the sore areas of the mouth 4 to 8 times daily as needed. A total dose of 40 mg lidocaine should not be exceeded.
- Use in children and adolescents: For children, toddlers and infants, use a pea-sized piece a maximum of 4 times daily (dosage individually taking into account age and weight).
- Children under 3 years: The currently available documentation is insufficient to recommend prolonged use of lidocaine gel in children under 3 years of age.
- Directions : For oral use. Please clean your hands before and after use. Apply the gel to the oral cavity. Gently massage the gel in. If pain occurs when inserting dentures or braces, apply a thin layer of Dynexan 1.8% Oral Gel to the affected areas. You can increase the gel’s adhesion by patting the treated areas dry beforehand.
