Ingredient statements:
Folic acid contributes to the normal growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy. Supplemental folic acid intake increases folic acid levels in pregnant women. Low folic acid levels in pregnant women are a risk factor for neural tube defects in the growing fetus. The beneficial effect is demonstrated by an additional intake of 400 mcg of folic acid daily for at least one month before and up to three months after conception. (Target group: women of childbearing potential.)
Maternal intake of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes of the foetus and breastfed child. Note for pregnant and lactating women: The beneficial effect is demonstrated by a daily intake of 200 mg of DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids of 250 mg of DHA and EPA.
Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin.
Choline contributes to the normal metabolism of homocysteine.
Calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, vitamin D, vitamin B 12 and folic acid contribute to cell division.
Vitamin C, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin D, folic acid, iron, zinc, selenium and copper contribute to the normal function of the immune system.
Calcium is necessary for the maintenance of normal bones.
Vitamin K, vitamin D, as well as zinc and magnesium contribute to the maintenance of normal bones.
Vitamin D contributes to the normal absorption and use of calcium.
Iodine and selenium contribute to the normal function of the thyroid gland.
