Septanazal for children, nasal spray, contains xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexpanthenol. Xylometazoline hydrochloride rapidly constricts blood vessels in the nasal mucosa and reduces nasal swelling and mucosal secretion. In this way, it reduces the feeling of a stuffy nose. Dexpanthenol is a derivative of the vitamin pantothenic acid, which promotes healing and protects the nasal mucosa.
Dosage
It should be used in children under 12 years of age under the supervision of an adult. If no improvement or worsening of symptoms is observed after 3 days of treatment, the clinical condition should be re-evaluated.
Children from 6 years of age: The usual dose of Septanazal for adults in children from 6 years of age is one injection into each nostril up to three times a day. The physician should always be consulted regarding the duration of treatment in children.
